. >> an international murder-for- hire plot planned to go down right here in our nation's capital. an iranian-born u.s. citizen is in a new york jail this morning. >> he's accused of plotting to kill saudi arabia's ambassador to the u.s. with a bomb in a d.c. restaurant. kristin fisher joins us live from the saudi arabian embassy. >> it is surprisingly quiet out here outside the saudi arabian embassy awn day after all of this news broke. this is the official complaint from the justice department and it names two defendants. one is in custody. the other, a member of iranian special operations unit is still at large likely in iran. the man in custody is 56-year- old manssor arbabsiar. he hired a hitman that he believed worked for a mexican drug cartel. he was an informant. he was arrested in jfk on september 29th. not only has he confessed, he's already identified iranian officials. both men were charged in new york federal court on conspiring to kill the saudi ambassador to the u.s. so far, iran has denied all of the charges. >> this conspiracy was conceived, was sponsor and directed from iran and con

of town. right over us here west of 95, this is where we're seeing the showers and thunderstorms and some of these are getting to be on the hefty side. there are no severe warnings out but it is a pretty good storm just coming out of northern virginia out of fairfax county. really out of mclean right along the potomac headed toward potomac maryland, rockville, up toward seneca. we'll zoom in and show you that prince george's county, anne arundel, all quiet right now. look at this guy coming here from around mclean to potomac, maryland, headed toward rockville. this will be crossing 270 in the next 20 minutes or so. there could be a little small hail with this. this goes down south and west with rain into parts of prince william and fauquier counties. a little thunder and lightning there south of folksville and a few showers west of fredericksburg that continue to move north and east. monika? >> if you're planning to head out early this morning, although volumes are light with the wet road conditions, we do have some issues. be aware of that. that's why i've given it the yellow light. no b

joe manchin's term. he was elected to the u.s. senate last year after the death of robert bird. >>> time for the latest "your money" report this morning. >> jessica doyle is here with the latest on wall street's wild and crazy ride. >> well, you can call it a comeback. that's what we want to be seeing. investors have been on a nice edge lately. that was the case yesterday. the dow is way down in triple digits and staged a 400-point comeback. the reason for this change in tone was news that europe's finance ministers are considering bailing out of big european banks. we saw asian markets down but europe is trading higher by about 1%. checking the numbers here at home, the dow stands at 10,808 after finishing the day up 153 points, a gain of 1.4%. the nasdaq up by 69 points. 3% gain there and the s&p 500 rose 24 points. or about 2.3%. so, why is wall street so crazy lately? we're near bear market territory for the major averages down 20% in some cases from the highs back in april. investors continue to be panicky about greece's financial meltdown potentially taking down other co
